The World Benevolent Council Initiatives was conceived to support the two global societies (The Society For World
Advancement and The Society For World Peace). Eventually, the idea of goodwill towards social development and
pragmatic environmentalism took hold. Then the unity of people in a benevolent and free benefit society across the earth
who just want to advance in life and/or live in peace started coming into vision. Finally to be free individuals who have
brothers and sisters who share a common bond.
The vitality and utility of benevolent leadership model is based on the insight and integrative picture the model
provides leaders in their decisions and actions at work. Without such integration on a substantial level of nuanced
thinking and balanced action, leaders may be confronted with the threats of facing analysis paralysis and making
partial decisions.
Therefore, benevolent leadership model explicitly recognizes and underlines the importance of a leader‘s ―heart-
sets as critical as the leader‘s mindsets in the workplace. In the context of the global economic crisis; ethical
sensitivity, spiritual depth, positive engagement, and community responsiveness represent the critical heart-sets of
leaders who want to leave a positive legacy behind them.
Voluntarism, sometimes referred to as a voluntary action, is the principle that individuals are free to choose goals and how
to achieve them within the bounds of certain societal and cultural constraints, as opposed to actions that are coerced
or predetermined. "Voluntarism" refers to everything voluntary. It certainly encompasses the entire"voluntary sector," but
"voluntary" in the "voluntarism" context means not mandated by law (as a government is). Many voluntary sectors (nonprofit)
agencies have a volunteer board because that is a legal requirement.
The World Benevolent Council looks forward to developing a world-class benevolent leadership in voluntary services around
the planet's many societies and cultures. In addition to developing voluntary services, the council looks forward to
developing benefits and charitable financial assistance for individuals private progress and desires for peace.
